Hi there. Welcome to the positive, constructive alternative to RateYourProfessor.com. As a teacher, I am always looking for ways to improve my classes and my teaching. It's great to have students complete surveys at the end of the semester, but this feedback doesn't help you when the course is over, right? It helps the next group of students, which is good too, but I'm interested in becoming better right now (not just between semesters). And I'm sure you are interested in making this course the best possible learning experience for you as well. It is my sincere hope that this feedback tool will help make the course experience better for all of us—sooner than later.
For this tool to work, though, it has to be constructive. That means you can't just tell me you love it or hate it, you have to be much more specific. If you think things suck, tell me why and what specifically you think can be done to make improvements. If things are good, tell me, but don't stop there; try to think of some ideas that can make things even better. If we use this feedback tool as a means to collaborate, it would be really cool. The success of any course lies on all who participate—teacher and students alike. This feedback, by the way, is completely anonymous.
